Indie-folk singer-songwriter Hallie Spoor has often been described as an "old soul." She’s a warm and honest storyteller who wears her heart on her sleeve, and whether it’s in her stage banter or her lyrics, you'll likely hear something at a show that will make you feel like you just talked to an old friend. Hallie is currently recording her 3rd album, set to release in 2022 and will likely hit the road in this spring to spread the word. Based out of Bedstuy, Brooklyn, she spends most of her time with her rescue tomcat, Mac Attack.
Puerto Rican-American violinist, songwriter, and educator Skye Steele has toured as a solo artist throughout the US and Europe, as well as working as musical director and multi-instrumentalist for platinum-selling singer songwriter Vanessa Carlton. As an improvising violinist he has worked with jazz legends like Henry Butler, Anthony Braxton, and Lee Konitz, and with country and rock artists including Willie Nelson and Jolie Holland,. He has delved deeply into string-playing traditions from Turkey to Brazil.
Dwayne Haggins is a singer-songwriter who combines extraordinary musicianship with powerful vocals. He has been described as “the love child of Marvin Gaye and Doc Watson.” and “The John Legend of Rockabilly.” He has performed at the Portsmouth Music Hall and Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH; and the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton, NH; sharing the stage with acts such as Chris Lane, Suzanne Santo, and Fitz and the Tantrums. He was signed to Verdict Music in November of 2021 and his Verdict debut LP is expected in the Spring of 2022.

Raquel Vidal is a solo singer-songwriter who also heads up Diamond Hotel, an original band hailing from the musically-fertile Hudson Valley. Described by New York Music Daily as “underground noir” with songs that are “darkly cinematic” and “voice a bittersweet optimism”, her lyrics roam the dark corridors and velvet lounges of the human experience, ultimately peeling back the drapes to reveal rays of light and glimmers of hope. Raquel is a co-founder of Dar Williams’ Writing a Song That Matters retreats here she conducts songwriting workshops.
Andrew VanNorstrand is a musician, singer-songwriter and producer living in Vermont. He has performed on festival stages, concert halls, dance floors and living rooms all over North America and beyond. Andrew blends traditional folk, old-time and country music with indie-roots-Americana and a passion for shared connection and a song well sung. His 2019 solo album That We Could Find A Way To Be focuses on the complicated intersections of love, faith, loss and uncertainty, queerness and the struggle for understanding.

Katie Martucci returns to Voices in the Heights by popular demand. Katie is a performer (singer, guitarist & violinist), bandleader, composer and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. Since graduating from the New England Conservatory in 2016, Katie has toured the United States with her trio The Ladles, founded the Tucci Swing Orchestra, released several solo recordings, and scored the National Geographic film 'Glen Canyon Rediscovered'. Katie teaches voice and songwriting at SUNY New Paltz, and leads several ensembles at the Jalopy School of Music in Brooklyn.
Billy Woodward a roots singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. His unique songwriting and storytelling is a direct result of his life-long adoration of traditional folk/blues, R&B and rock & roll. His time in Memphis honed his music, creating a focus and energy that is palpable in his performances. If you love well crafted songs that get you movin’ and groovin’ Billy Woodward is not to be missed. Woodward recorded his last EP, "The Beast In Me", at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN and has a new full-length album slated for release later this year.
A Pennsylvania-born songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Eric Lee shapes songs with stand-alone melodies and rich musical backdrops. From the personal to the sublime, they range from tales of honkeytonk heartache to anthems of social consciousness, and are told with a language of poetic and raw honesty. ee draws from a well of uncommon musical depth, having worked professionally in recording studios, festival stages, and on the road with acclaimed artists in both folk and bluegrass (The Kennedys, Eric Andersen, Peter Rowan) from an early age.
Rupert Wates has won over 40 songwriting and performing awards. In 2018 he performed as a Finalist in the Kerrville New Song Folk Contest and an Emerging Artist at Falconridge Folk Festival. More than 25 of his songs have been covered by other artists and he has released 9 solo albums, tracks from which have been played on radio worldwide. Colorado Central Magazine describes his songs as ‘sublime folk hymns’, while Folk And Acoustic Music Exchange adds ‘this is one gifted s.o.b…if you’re not hip to this guy you’re missing out’.
